Why take life too seriously?! There are things that happen every day that make me smile. Sometimes it's a question or story from my son. Sometimes it's a quirky thing heard over the cubicle wall. Many times it's dysfunctional things we say or do at family gatherings. Life happens. Let's enjoy it!

More Sounds of the Season
There wasn't a Christmas season concert tonight, but I did get to hear Carter and the Pep Band play for the basketball season.
Tried as usual to sneak a picture and this was the best I could do before I was spotted and shunned.
Hubby and I had the privilege of working concessions starting with a the freshmen boys game at 4:30 p.m. That was followed by JV and Varsity match-ups versus our rival Wausau Newman. Our JV won and every time we sneaked a peek at the varsity game progress, it was tied or close, the lead going back and forth.
It's always a bummer when people come to the concessions stand and say things like, "Too bad you're stuck here. You're missing a great game." Well, we all have to do a shift so it's better to get ours out of the way early in the season. Plus, we didn't miss ALL the excitement.
We got to see about the last 2-3 minutes of regulation play and then... overtime! So really, it was like the game was starting over for us, but was only 4 minutes long. We ended up losing 56-50.
Too bad the Pep Band was all packed up and gone before the first tipoff. They could have used a little Eye of the Tiger or Gonna Fly Now to get the boys pumped up.
No worries. Lots of season left. For hoops, holidays and harmony.
