Raise your hand if you are suffering through a serious case of Spring Fever!!
According to the Weather Channel, the temps reached 40 degrees in Wisconsin Rapids today. And no doubt warmth somewhere around that range every where in central Wisconsin. I wish I could have enjoyed it.
Most of us who probably were stuck at work all day could just catch glimpses of the sunshine and melting snow. But we knew something was up. From my window seat, I'd occasionally get startled by large chunks of snow falling off the roof. I say let the meltdown begin!
It sure felt nice after work to just wear a sweatshirt when we went to St. Lawrence to enjoy their fish fry. It's still in the mid-30s so, in Wisconsin, that means no jacket required!
We're a little concerned about the duel between Mother Nature and her Spring Fever trying to take over Ol' Man Winter's territory. What it means for tomorrow is supposedly freezing rain and icy roads 'til about noon. Then, it is supposed to be warm enough to just rain. Well, the snow may go, but there will definitely be a large pond in its place -- in our driveway anyway.
We're just hoping this won't wreak havoc on our plans to travel to La Crosse to cheer on the girls. While technically basketball IS a winter sport, it's time to quit being a tease, Ol' Man Winter, and let it go.
We'll even let you be an honorary Royals fan! Deal?
