Pine Public Enemy No. 1

OK, this war against the yellow-green monster has escalated. Not only is my black car eligible for a different color on my registration, but now I have TWO pairs of shoes that need TLC.

First, even though my brand spankin' new golf shoes are water proof, they have a mesh body not leather, so they can't just be wiped clean.

Then today, after two photography site visits, my black denim-type boots (for lack of a better description) have a yellow sheen to them too. 

I can handle the car wash part. But I am calling out to you – my Household Hints from Heloise sisters – what's the best way to clean this off my precious footwear? 

I'm not a princess. I've rarely cared if my footwear shows a little wear and tear, but Pine Public Enemy No. 1 is a different monster. Thanks in advance for any advice!
