I got to watch the first game since it started at 9 a.m. We fell behind early and it was tough to get back on top.
Here Carter got on base (yes, long sleeves because it was still chilly out!).
The fun part of getting to first base is that Daddy is your base coach! Not sure what signal it is to lift your shorts, but it had this photographer's attention!
We lost the first game 6-1 so had to play for third place at 1 p.m. Since I had to work concessions from 10:30-2:30 I could only see parts of that game when we didn't have customers. I did get to see Carter make some good plays in the outfield so I was happy about that. The Plover team was too tough for us, though, and we lost big time, 13-5.
The boys were still happy with a 4th-place trophy, though, because last year we lost early and didn't even get to play on Sunday! You can see they are getting along fine already and are getting re-acquainted with each other's strengths and weaknesses. Looking forward to traveling to Stevens Point next weekend.
