Books: Started day with Book Club! Today we discussed A Man Called Ove. Great, great read. The main character reminds me of an "old man" version of Clint Eastwood's character in Gran Torino. Get off my lawn! (Next month we are reading Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Anyone have a copy I could Borrow?)
Banana Bread: Two B's for the price of one! Due to the fact I have two black thumbs, I do a bang-up job of aging bananas! Made some of my good "loaded banana bread," which hubby says I should just call "cake." Chocolate and peanut butter chips totally belong in bread, right?
Basketball: For the past 4 years, we have not been home on this Saturday. How do we know this? It's Wisconsin Girls State Basketball weekend! Our Lady Royals played on championship Saturday those 4 years, taking home 2 gold balls and 2 silvers. They did not make the tournament this year. Today, though, Loyal had a comeback win so the D5 gold ball is still in central Wisconsin. Nice!
Bucky: The Badgers also had a big game today. And they had no problem kicking butt so I did not have to spend endless hours in my recliner after all. Go Bucky! Bring on March Madness!
Boy: Carter came home from his friend's this afternoon, hung around a bit and went back out after supper. We both are waiting to pack until tomorrow. Not that kitty cares that we are leaving, but she might think her human is going away again and will freak out. Just not in the mood for messes right now!
Burn: When you're expecting a yummy strawberry treat and it turns out to be leftover potato salad from last night's church fish fry. Burn.
Bounce: Don't forget to Spring Ahead tonight! Set your clocks forward an hour right now so you are not late for church tomorrow!!
