Our Assumption Royals baseball team had its best game in two years tonight. Also, it's first game in two years! It didn't end how we wanted, but definitely worth the wait. And even Mother Nature cooperated. A few sprinkles here and there, but otherwise she let the boys PLAY BALL!
Felt good to work the camera again – even though my fingers got cold.
And felt good to see friends cheering on their sons again!
And felt good to see my favorite person doing what he loves, too!
Lot of new faces since none of the current freshmen or sophomores have played high school ball yet. Nice to see some good young talent. Despite our 8-2 loss to Abbotsford in the home opener, hopefully it'll make for a pretty good season.
And any season will be better than the 2020 alternative. Good luck, Royals!
