Full Friday Vibes

I actually hoped to use that afternoon off I planned to take on rainy Wednesday this afternoon. But we got the whole rainy gloomy deal again today. So I worked.

Hubby managed lawn maintenance duties between rain clouds. So props to him!

Then, when I was done with work, I managed some 20-plus minutes in the sun with Mr. Deck Chair while I was waiting to hear from my sister RoAnn. She and her hubby were traveling from Minnesota to Green Bay and back today for some special vintage truck parts. I said if it was timed correctly and they were within an hour from me, we could meet up.

So we met up at my work stomping grounds PJ's – SentryWorld (flower picture at top) for dinner. We sat out on the patio until rain forced us inside shortly after we dove in their award-winning cheese curds! Great meal and great catching up. I'm pretty sure we haven't seen each other since Christmas. This year is just going by too fast!

Got home and hubby and I headed out to R & R Patio Bar to see our friend (and his high school classmate) Todd perform with his new band.

If you get the chance, check out Rising Star at a venue near you. New band but all the members come with a wealth of experience and they sound great! And we got to see a few AHS alum friends, too. But again, Mother Nature had other ideas and we bailed when we started to get rained on at some point in the second set. We will see/hear you again, Todd!

Turned out to be a full day for sketchy weather. Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

The Good Race

It was a day of racing (of sorts) in central Wisconsin today. First we went to Tom Reffner's funeral, where Father Gruba (famous in NASCAR circles) shared a lot of great stories – both funny and heartfelt – about Tom. Very cool tribute for our "extended family" member, who's taken his final lap.

Didn't quite get home in time to get to state cross country for the girls' Division 3 race, but it was exciting to hear our Lady Royals took 4th as a team and Lucy (far right) finished 3rd overall. That is fantastic!! Love that we have such a strong girls' program – with no seniors. Congrats!

Then this afternoon – in this lovely 38-degree weather – hubby raced around getting the last of the leaves out of the front yard.

And I raced around prepping for tomorrow's Packer-Viking game. Because guess who's going to Lambeau? This girl! It's going to be cold so I had pick from one of our three Viking winter jackets – plus get hand warmers and do the nails and all those essentials. Pretty jazzed my former boss is taking me because, in his words, I'm generous, super helpful and "just a good shit!" SKOL!

We capped off the day with a relaxing (non-race pace) dinner at Savory Steakhouse with friends who just happen to be 1981 Assumption grads – or are married to one. Delicious food and lots of laughs. They're going to a haunted corn maze but I declined with a pleasant but firm "Hell no!" Not, not, not my thing.

It'll be scary enough walking solo into Packers territory tomorrow. We'll see if it turns out to be a trick or a treat!

Pause to Enjoy

After working at home and having strenuous decisions with the countertop guy, we were in a good place for a Monday. We made "concrete" decisions if you know what I mean. But it dawned on me after work that I hadn't taken time to realize our most colorful tree took a turn!

It's a weird autumn because the neighbors across the street had full-color scheme weeks ago and now their tree is naked. I guess we had different weather or soil conditions 20 yards away because our dude finally got with the program today!

So nice to pause and enjoy before sunset.

And try to be artsy with my camera phone, of course!

Now hubby is mowing/collecting some leaves and I'm continuing our cabinet Jenga game to see what fits where in our new setup (until The Voice starts). We still won't have everything done TOTALLY done before Halloween week, but we'll just organize stuff in baby steps and realize we'll have to open 3 cupboards before we find what we need.

Shhhh.... Enjoy the fall colors, Austins!

Bee Serious!

I think I led you to believe that the Friendly snakes were my nemesis in the yard. But maybe not anymore.

Last Sunday while digging out some landscape rocks by the end of the driveway. Something got under my shirt – no, not hubby – and managed to sting me twice on my right side before I could get it out from under the fabric. It was a painful sting. I yelled "Oww, ouch, oww!" all the way to the house.

I'm not allergic like my epipen-carrying husband, but I always feel a bit woozy afterwards. This time it was not the woozy I was worried about. It was the pain. Not your standard bumble-bee but maybe a hornet rolling up its sleeves like above or wicked ground bee. Either way. So hurtful. And that lasted on and off for two days while the site of the sting grew a nice reddish itchy-owie area as big as my hand. Finally tempered that with some hydro-cortisone and lots of lotion.

Exactly one week later and I'm push-mowing the areas that our rider can't reach. I feel that stab of pain again. This time right on top of my right foot where it bends. Ouch. Mother mother! I iced it and then put some of that hydro-cortisone on it. That did nothing for the pain.

I tool a Benedryl and went to Wal-Mart to grab some "medical" pain relieve like the Sting Kill ointment (did do diddly) and Dermaplast something spray (that also didn't remove the pain). So I tried some baking soda trick. Not doing it either. I just need something to numb the area like they do at the dentist or doctor's office.

Any suggestions? I'd like to get some sleep tonight. Thanks.

Bee careful out there!

Bloomin' Good

I can't believe that it's taken all of two decades, but this is the first time ever that these two lilac bushes in our front yard have bloomed! Ever!

Even though they were just little shrubs, we still took care over the years and years to mow around them, not over them. Though more than a time or two I thought we should just get rid of them. They're defective!

Good thing we're loaded with patience!

(That's sarcasm.) But really, what a treat to finally see them and, more importantly, smell them. We're big lilac fans here. Hopefully I can bring a few flowers in so the house smells nice, but I'm scared I'll kill the plants!

After all that hard work and waiting, maybe I should just steal from the neighbors like the "old" days.

Be careful out there!

Don't forget to stop and smell the lilacs.

Deer-Rive-Er's Education

Contrary to popular purple belief, there is one green-and-yellow thing we have a fondness for here on Blue Jay Drive. Our new John Deere riding lawn mower.

I say "new" as in new this mowing season. We had a shed delivered in December and got the rider to go in it this spring. And oh yes, this Owner's Edition hat comes with it. Since then, hubby – who holds the one-and-only key to the shed – has been the only one allowed to operate it. He's the only one who can access it after all. Plus...

His shed. His rider. His rules

He deserves to relax while mowing. Even though we've both done our share with the push mower in the past 20 years. He's older. Ha. And I usually did it for the sun and steps anyway.

Tonight, after eating fish fries at the in-laws, we mowed. I pushed around the close edges of the house and shrubs and stuff while Jim rode. He had one more section left when he whistled me over and said I could drive.

Well yee-haw!

I got scared off as soon as he mentioned a clutch. I'm an automatic kind of driver. Thankfully I shouldn't have to use the clutch once I'm started. I kind of got the hang of and it remembered 4 out of 5 instructions to shut it down.

Jim texted me a lovely photo of me and my John Deere green. As you can see, I am not wearing the hat. I don't know where he hides it. Probably the same place he keeps the shed key. And I don't really need either one!

Ride on, friends!

This Is My Father's World

This is my Father's world, and to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world,
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas,
His hand the wonders wrought.

Started off Father's Day enjoying "my Father's world" with a hike around Lake Wazeecha. My neighbor Marigene and I had to trek around a lot of standing (and moving) water on the usual paths thanks to all the recent rains. Still we got our 4 miles in!

What a gorgeous day! Hubby enjoyed golfing with a buddy at Bull's Eye Country Club while I was walking. Then I figured I'd do the nice Father's Day gift and mow the front lawn. That got a little hot, but it needed it! Again, thanks to all the recent rain.

Later in the afternoon, we headed over to Jim's parents to celebrate with his dad and mom. See we're social distancing from them! We had takeout pizza so no one had to work on this Father's Day – though my sister-in-law made a pie for Dad and I baked cookies for him, too.

Feel blessed to have my father-in-law still here and healthy when I miss my dad on days on like these.

If you're still lucky enough to have your dad around, tell him you love him and certainly hug him as often as you can. Do not take the present for granted. I have great memories, but I'd give anything for one of his solid hugs!

Happy Father's Day to all you dads, step-dads, foster dads, "furry" dads, and father figures out there! Our lives are better because of your love and commitment!

Thatch Just Dandy

As someone with two black thumbs, it's some kind of miracle that my hanging flowers are still alive after this week of cold nights and frosty mornings. I'm so impressed, I'm high-fiving myself.

But I can't hold all the bragging rights in this house. My husband has a natural gift in lawncare. With just a little TLC, he's been able to grow a bumper crop of dandelions! Applause for him, too! His methods may be top secret, but I'll fill you in on how it works...

Step 1 is de-thatching. I thought it was thatching but apparently the neighbor just used a thatching blade on his mower so he could de-thatch and Jim could gather up the discarded thatch. Make sense? We've never done this but thought we'd give it a try in parts of the front yard.

And the area west of the driveway that was seriously dead and thatch-ful. So they not only de-thatched, but Jim dropped some grass seed there as well two weeks ago.

Step 2: Water regularly. We didn't water the whole front yard, just the most needy section. So at least once a day, he's been doing that. So there has been some legwork involved. You can see it didn't take long for some green grass to start sprouting.

And some flowers trying to steal the spotlight from my flowers.

Step 3: Enjoy a good killing frost. Now I'm serious that this picture (above) was taken on Tuesday.

And today, Thursday, look at this grass and the dandy crop of dandelions! That Jim Austin is a talent!

He's not home right now so I don't know if he wants to hire himself out for yard work or landscaping, but l can understand how he'll be in high demand once word gets out. Maybe just try his successful steps here on your own. Just don't tell him you heard it from me.

Happy gardening!

Day of Rest... of Stuff to Do

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but it often becomes the day of get the rest of the stuff done that you never got around to this weekend – or during the past week!

So today went something like: church, cleaned up cat puke, senior photo shoot, cemetery visit, some freelance work, lawn mowing, then out to Anchor Bay with hubby to enjoy dinner and the music of Southbound. Still on the list to do: dusting, vacuuming, putting stuff away from the past week... oh just everything.

But I'm going straight to bed so I can count it as a partial day of rest.

Hope you all can do the same. Have a super week!

Rainy With A Slight Chance of Labor

In my head, this was my vision of Labor Day. Hubby was going to get some relaxing golf in. I was going to take some senior pictures. And we both could bake in the hot sun with watching our nephew race.

So my visions were definitely cloudy. Rainy even.

While Jim did get some golf in. Both the stock car races and my photo shoot were called off for the day. The rain was just too unpredictable.

I did manage to squeeze in 10,000 steps mowing the front yard between rain clouds. So that was it for my labor. How did I reward myself? Well...

When rain cancels outdoor plans and laziness cancels indoor ones, you go to King Cone and try out their new Carrot Cake flavor. So worth the trip! As usual.

I was hoping it would give me some ambition to do some projects around the house. Still waiting on that one. Do I need to make another trip? I could probably handle that kind of labor on Labor Day.

Working it off, though... not so much.

Hope you found a way to relax and enjoy the long weekend!

Pavlov's Mom

If you took any kind of psych classes in high school or college, you know all about Pavlov's dog.

In 1927, Ivan Pavlov experimented with his dog on the subject of psychological training – specifically conditional stimuli and response. He found that when he rang a bell each time before he fed his dog, the dog no longer salivated in response to the food, but to the bell. So a conditional response is when you're trained to respond to something such as Pavlov's bell, as opposed to using simply your reflexes.

For me, my conditional response this summer was going to the nearest office window when I heard the sound of a lawnmower, usually on Mondays. That was the day Carter's landscaping company visited my workplace to mow grass, trim hedges and whack weeds. If I timed a walk break just right, I could see him.

Or I could hover by the window like a stalker and watch him on the big mower below.

I only got away with that once before he spotted me. I guess kids have Mom Radar like moms have eyes in the back of our head.

Today when I heard my "bell," I didn't jump up and go to the window. But it did prompt me to text College Boy and tell him I missed him. How can there only have been 2 weeks of school so far? Seems much longer.

A friend – and new empty-nester – asked me today if year 2 gets any easier. I said it does because we know what to expect... few trips home when they are far away and a general lack of texts and phone calls (unless money is needed, of course). It doesn't mean I like it any better than year 1, it just means we parents (well, mostly moms, I bet) have tempered our expectations.

What's different this year is that he isn't just a kid transitioning to adulthood. He's like a fellow adult now who shared occasional good conversations with me this summer. I miss that. And those countless hugs goodnight when he was sleeping under our roof for 3 months.

OK. Stop talking about that. Now I'll get a lump in my throat.

Why didn't Pavlov's dog tell me this was so ruff?

Birthday Candles Lit

The candles are lit on hubby's birthday cake! Haha. The neighbors did have a fire in his honor, though.

The birthday boy had quite the full day. Carter and I both had to work so Jim had his own fun. He golfed with his dad and a friend this morning. Then it was off to Wisconsin Dells with 3 buddies to golf at Wild Rock. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and he had fun.

Carter had a long day of work and mine just felt long because it was that weird day in between the weekend and a holiday where half the people are out of the office and you want to be, too!

Came home and mowed the front lawn, took a walk, then headed over to the fire. When I saw the clear sky and the fact that the moon was bright, I thought I should try to take some pictures of it. I even brought the tripod with me but I just couldn't get a picture to turn out. I think tomorrow on my day off I will read the manual for my camera so I know what it can do and how to do it.

I did manage to get it connected via bluetooth with my phone so I could transfer two pictures of the fire. That is a freakin' awesome feature!

Now you can see Jim's cake up close!

OK, I'll be nice. (But now I do want cake.) Thankfully, even though our birthday-anniversary-palooza week is over, we cap it off with an actual holiday. Not much on the agenda tomorrow other than no alarms will be set. That's worth celebrating.

Cake, anyone?

Making the Cut

It's hard to instill a lesson about the negative impact of procrastination when things work out in the end – despite it.

When job plans in P-Town fell through, College Boy came way late to the game of finding summer employment in central Wisconsin. We're talking applying in May when most kids have their jobs lined up around spring break time. I scrambled and sent him links to numerous jobs and he applied to maybe 8 or 10.

Last week, his first week home after finals, he had 5 interviews lined up Monday through Wednesday. By Wednesday afternoon, he had two job offers. He accepted the one for a local landscaping company. It sort of surprised me because the photo up top is one taken the last time he mowed our lawn.

You may think I'm kidding but I know Daddy taught him that day and I honestly can't recall when the boy did it again. But it's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks.

Especially when they get paid to do it.

Since his new firm takes care of our lawn and landscaping at my work, I got to see the CEO (Cutting Evenly Often) in action.

Pretty sure he'd take that weed wacker after me if he knew what Mom was up to. He said I couldn't put this picture on Facebook. He did not specifically mention the blog. But I might not have heard him clearly over the din of the nearby lawn mowers.

Chalk it up to workplace hazard.

Nineties Girl

Mother Nature's hot flashes aren't always a bad thing. It was nice to get some heat delivered on a Friday after several cool and sporadically rainy days.

When the forecast called for 80-some degrees, I thought I better dig out the capris and shave the legs. Capri pants are awesome because it's the closest thing to wearing shorts to work.

Unless you are vertically challenged like me.

The struggle is real, folks. I probably could get away with wearing those so-called Bermuda shorts. Those would fall below my knee where the capri should be! Either way, I wore the short pants and was glad I did. When it was 70 by 11 a.m. and a co-worker and I were out for a walk break, I decided it would be a good day to cut out early.

I had "won" 30 bonus minutes awhile back and hadn't cashed them in yet. So I did today. Left at 4 p.m. and headed home to multi-task: mowing, walking and tanning. It can be done. At that point it was 88 degrees and inched up to 90 when I was cutting the front lawn. It sort of felt like it could have been 90, but I was reveling in it!

When I was done I wondered when I'd ever cool off! But I wasn't complaining. No way, Mother Nature. Was not complaining.

Had a cool shower and was back to normal body temperature just a few hours later!

Just in time for a neighborhood fire. Not kidding. You'd think it would be too hot but it cooled off for the evening and will get back down to 50s tonight. Plus, when you hang out with cool kids, you can't get overheated.

We leave the hot flashes to Mother Nature. Did I mention I am not complaining about that? Not at all. You do what you gotta do. It's Mother's Day weekend after all.

Mixed Seasonal Signals

I was hearing this buzzing in my head at work today. At first I thought maybe it was just the brain cells colliding while working too hard. Then I recognized the long-lost sound.

A lawnmower.

So I could still see snow on the ground but I could smell fresh-cut grass. I think the lawn-care crew was toying with the inmates in the asylum! Naturally, this called for a walk to check things out.

Three of us escaped and realized it was a gorgeous day! The temps reached 60+ so it spelled summer to us. And smelled it, too. Love the smell of fresh-cut grass! Love watching the mower guys maneuver around leftover snow piles as if showing them who's boss!

Although we did have to return to our cells, I mean desks, I decided I better take advantage of the nice day since we are going to be experiencing a Polar Vortex come this weekend. Of course! So I took a 3-mile walk/run when I got home. Ran a song, walked a song, etc. That worked well. I didn't get tired and hopefully won't be too sore tomorrow. I keep trying to ease back into running but never have more than one day in a row to do it before the weather turns cruddy again. Terrible streak.

Poor Mother Nature. Getting blamed for everything – even failed exercise programs. I guess if she could just stick with a season awhile and go with it, that would help. I think spring should definitely stay, if you are asking.

It was sure nice having my FitBit wrist "watch" vibrate at 10,000 steps two whole days in a row. Now there's a streak to beat. Help me out here, Mother Nature.

Please.

A Little Gratitude Goes a Long Way

When news broke today that Maya Angelou had passed away at age 86, I was trying to pinpoint which of her many inspiring quotes was my favorite. While there are many I have enjoyed from the poet/activist, I like the sentiment of this one:

It is a reminder to me that in all things, I must show gratitude. No, not just show it, but feel it and live it and believe I am blessed.

And I do.

Sure I get whiny – like today when I showed up at the softball game straight from work in long sleeves and long pants ... and it was 75 degrees out. I was a bit warm to say the least, but I will take that over winter hats and ballpark blankets any day. Plus, it wasn't about ME. The Assumption girls won. That's the important thing.

If we look hard enough, in each situation, there is something for which to be grateful.

Sometimes it's really a difficult find.

When my dad died, for instance, it was painful emotionally but we were grateful he was relieved of his physical pain. When my best friend's cousin was the victim of a still-unsolved murder some 20 years ago, it was heart-wrenching for the friends and family. Today, though, thanks to an Assumption scholarship in her name, many lives are being touched in a very positive way each school year. When I complain about my aching back and hip and not being able to run, I am reminded that hubby's dear uncle is missing half a leg and a few of my friends are suffering serious physical ailments – from multiple sclerosis to cancer.

Each day in itself is a gift. But more often than not, God is placing people in our lives to add even more blessings.

Case in point: Hubby starts to mow the lawn after supper and two neighbors show up to make short work of it. Jim didn't even have to wait for a nightly prayer to express his gratitude. The guys are enjoying their frosty, cold "thank you" right now!

We seriously will never be done counting our blessings.

Thanks be to God!

Sounds of the Season (but which one?)

As I sit at my computer, I can hear the familiar sounds of summer... birds chirping, dogs barking and the lawn mower cutting grass, plowing over mole hills and chopping up errant sticks in the back yard.

Did I wake up to a new season?

For awhile there, I thought I did. On the way to work there was a teeny tiny annoying sound. It was the buzzing of a mosquito. I was probably halfway to work before I got 'em! I had to wonder if we bypassed spring and went directly from winter to summer.

Not that this sun worshipper would mind that.

I have concerns, though. Here hubby is mowing the thick grass – thanks to all that baseball-canceling rain – but I have yet to see a lilac bloom. Shouldn't we be seeing them by now? I refuse to start my summer without my favorite fragrance wafting through the house!

While I do read my share of books, I have not read a Farmer's Almanac or any horticulture articles explaining how or if the long, long, long, long winter may affect spring and summer growth. Since I have two black thumbs, I tend not to pay attention to that stuff.

But I want my lilacs!

For now, I will settle for that magnificent scent of fresh-cut grass! I love that smell of the season – especially when I didn't have to do anything to create it.

Perhaps the lazy days of summer have arrived after all!

Weekend Warrior

When the weather man promised a "cool" front today, I had high expectations for comfortable weather for yard work. The cooler temps did arrive -- but not until this evening. That didn't stop me from doing what I had to do!

First thing on today's agenda was a run. That's when I discovered it was still rather warm out! I just did a 3-mile run since I just started back at it this past week. That was far enough in the heat anyway.

Got home and hit the yard work. Now here's the thing. I have not been home much at all since oh, maybe April, between my dad being sick, work and baseball, baseball and baseball. I haven't had time to give the yard and any "garden" type areas any attention. And frankly, with two black thumbs, am not entirely motivated or knowledgeable about what sort of attention to give.

Today, I just wanted to get two overgrown areas cleared of weeds. It was a lot of work. I am so made for a desk job. Cannot handle manual labor! Well, actually, the mission trip taught me I can handle it. In small doses. And wearing gloves.

The good news is, with hubby's help and a weed whacker for certain parts, I got the areas done. The bad news is that I got a blister on my finger (wearing gloves) and I am golfing tomorrow. Ouch. Will tough it out as the weekend warrior that I am.

After yard work came the much-neglected housework. Yes, I will admit, not much has been done since I've turned 45. Seriously, with the mission trip then car show, I was not available until this weekend to clean. I think the house is actually smiling now!

We'll see if I am tomorrow. I am physically exhausted and know I used muscles today that haven't been used in awhile. To help us both recover, we went out for pizza in Point and then watched the neighbor girl's team play softball in a tourney in Point. (Yes, Carter is out of town and we still find ourselves at the ballpark.)

Speaking of Carter, he is having too much fun in Vegas. He did find time to text me. But mostly, he is ogling the scenery, I am sure. Wisconsin Rapids is going to seem boring when he comes back. No more baseball and a smaller list of chores to do.

I'm sure we can still find plenty to add. I'm not so ambitious I am going to do it ALL in one weekend!

Hydration Help

I woke last night to the sound of thunder... Oh wait, that sounds like a Bob Seger song. But I did wake to the sound of thunder and rain, wonderful, rain.

On our commute to work this morning, it rained so hard, it was hard to see the road sometimes. But we didn't care. When we got to work, hubby dropped me off at the door since I didn't have that umbrella I  last used for protection from the sun. Today, I wouldn't have cared if I had wet, flat hair. It was so good to see so much rain.

Finally!

The other day I actually forced Carter to mow the front yard. Not that there was any grass, but there were tall weeds sporadically shooting up and we looked like we lived in the ghetto. So I get things set for him and make sure there's enough gas. You know it's been a dry summer when there are cobwebs on the mower and the gas can. Seriously!

I just hope the rains we had today help the regular grass grow again. The skies had cleared by midday and I'm not sure if there is any more moisture coming our way, but even a little hydration helps.

Something Carter is learning in his running routines, too. Drought not good. Too much water not good. Hydration in moderation is the best.

Of course, what does hydration matter when the neighbor takes him out for lunch at the Chatter Box Cafe and our unthinking boy downs 2 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage links and a piece of apple pie with ice cream for dessert. All this less than 4 hours before practice today. I guess we should start with food consumption in moderation first!

And pray hydration keeps coming as we need it.

Earth to Robyn...

Earth to Robyn... Come in, Robyn... Can you hear me?

Yes, I felt a little out of it today. I did not realize that "bar-hopping" was a form of exercise and I should have stretched out beforehand. Not sure what I did, but I woke up and could hardly move my neck. Must have been the head-banging music.

Or I slept on it wrong.

Either way, I've been in pain today and trying to nurse it back to health. Ended up sleeping in a bit and going to late church, which means we were not home to "start" our day 'til afternoon. I had intended to do something special for Earth Day. All I managed was this slightly fuzzy butterfly picture. For their part, the guys cleaned up the back yard, Carter planted a little tree and hubby pounded down mole hills and mowed.

I got off easy, I know.

I did have important things to do like run Book #3 of the Hunger Games series over to a friend's house. That couldn't wait. We commiserated a few minutes about our teenage boys and their new-found laziness and attitude. Glad we're not in this alone. I also had to run to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. Ran into my "half" sister Chris there (my half-marathon partner), so more visiting.

By the time I got home and got supper going in the crockpot, it seemed too late to get any major (or minor, for that matter) projects going around the house so I spent an hour helping Carter fill out his first job application. He also had to call up 3 people who could serve as references. Even if he doesn't get this summer job (which I will tell you about if he gets it), it was a good experience. At this rate, between that application and the scholarship essays he's been writing, he'll be a pro by college graduation.

But let's not rush things.

The only other things I accomplished in my non-observance of Earth Day were a 2-mile walk after supper and a phone call to my parents tonight. Both were much needed and both were refreshing.

Glad I saved the best for last.

Happy Earth Day!
