Birthday Candles Lit

The candles are lit on hubby's birthday cake! Haha. The neighbors did have a fire in his honor, though.

The birthday boy had quite the full day. Carter and I both had to work so Jim had his own fun. He golfed with his dad and a friend this morning. Then it was off to Wisconsin Dells with 3 buddies to golf at Wild Rock. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and he had fun.

Carter had a long day of work and mine just felt long because it was that weird day in between the weekend and a holiday where half the people are out of the office and you want to be, too!

Came home and mowed the front lawn, took a walk, then headed over to the fire. When I saw the clear sky and the fact that the moon was bright, I thought I should try to take some pictures of it. I even brought the tripod with me but I just couldn't get a picture to turn out. I think tomorrow on my day off I will read the manual for my camera so I know what it can do and how to do it.

I did manage to get it connected via bluetooth with my phone so I could transfer two pictures of the fire. That is a freakin' awesome feature!

Now you can see Jim's cake up close!

OK, I'll be nice. (But now I do want cake.) Thankfully, even though our birthday-anniversary-palooza week is over, we cap it off with an actual holiday. Not much on the agenda tomorrow other than no alarms will be set. That's worth celebrating.

Cake, anyone?
