Not Quite Mayfield, USA

The Cleavers of Blue Jay Drive had a typical Mayfield July 4th holiday. Well, minus a parade, a barbecue and fireworks, that is.

Ward Cleaver hauled some firewood, did laundry and grocery shopping, and just finished mowing the lawn.

June Cleaver dug rocks, hauled rocks, cut weeds, took a walk around the lake and took some patriotic photos at the Grand Rapids Lions Club grounds...

And Beaver got home at 8 a.m., slept until 3 p.m., went to the lake, then to a friend's house with a pool, and is now wandering around at the fireworks downtown with Eddie Haskell and Lumpy. They'll probably run into Gilbert and Whitey and raise some heck.

Meanwhile, Ward and June will be watching the old black-and-white and heading to bed at 9 p.m.

Happy birthday, 'Merica!
