In honor of Father's Day, I am posting this nice picture of John Austin, his son James and grandsons Casey and Carter. You might see that Carter not only looks a bit like Daddy, but a bit like Grandpa, too!
That was taken last weekend at Colin's graduation party. Today we spent Father's Day at the ballpark. No surprise.
Our appearance in Antigo was short lived. Had a close, tough game with Eau Claire and they held on to beat us 3-2. That was it, then. Since it was single elimination, we were sent home with no wins and no hardware. Sigh. One of these weekends we will!
We dropped off our passengers and headed to the Kellner Fields nearby to catch the championship game our friend's 15-year-old daughter was playing in. The Rapids team won! So at least some of our teams were having a good weekend.
After the game, we hung around awhile while the dads shared some wisdom and adult beverages. Not necessarily in the order!
Came home and was able to catch the Twins-Brewers game on TV. Went grocery shopping and came home and was still able to catch the Twins-Brewers game on TV. After 15 innings, the Twins managed to pull out a victory. Yay! We'll take that.
Now it's couch time for the U.S. Open. Or whatever else Dad wants to watch!!
I have to let him have control of the remote once in awhile.
