Pre-Game Warm-up

We had today "off" from baseball, thank goodness. It was so warm and humid, it would have been a bit miserable this afternoon.

We still ended up at the ball park, though. This weekend it's the girls' turn to host the tournament in Rapids. So we got to see some of our friends' daughters play in various age groups. Besides that, we had two co-workers who had daughters on visiting teams so we got to see a little bit of their games, too. At one point, I knew girls on all 4 fields!

Kind of cool to see since most weekends the girls and boys play in different towns. Since we don't play until tomorrow, we had this one chance to watch.

We did have to cut our night short, though, so we could get decent sleep. We're hitting the road a little after 7 a.m. to go to Antigo. That'll take 90 minutes, I think. We play at 10 a.m. and noon so we'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Then we play again Sunday morning at 10:30. I do hope the rain stays away and we have a decent tourney.

Today's warm-up is probably a sign it's going to be hot one again this weekend.There's a 30% chance of rain/scattered thunderstorms. I suspect it will be one of those days where if it stays dry, the humidity will probably hover at 90%. Either way, we'll get wet.
