Pre-Season Preview :: Balls, Banners, Brats

Hot off the press! The 2018 Assumption Baseball AND Softball schedules on one calendar!

I feel blessed to have been a part of this new school "project." To date, I don't think they've had schedules in a large format to hang at businesses around town. Let alone one with a picture AND both teams. The coaches came up with the idea and I just helped execute it.

The fun part, of course, was trying to photograph 32 teenagers with them all looking at me – and more importantly, me being able to see their faces. And smiles. And eyes open. All at the same time. I actually designed the poster early last week when schedules were finalized. Took the group picture Wednesday after work and got it to the printer on Friday.

Today, hubby picked them up and delivered them to the coaches.

If you have a business around town or know of one willing to support the Royals by hanging up this 11x17 beauty, let me know. Or get in touch with one of the baseball coaches – Hartman, Austin or Grundhoffer – or softball coaches – Schill, Nelson or Leberg.

If you want one to hang in your home, just download the picture above and print it. It should fit on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, too.

Or, better yet, there may be copies of some kind available at the upcoming brat fries at West Grand IGA. Come support the softball team this Saturday, March 31, and lend your support for the baseball team next Saturday, April 7.

First home game for both is Tuesday, April 10, versus the mighty Stratford Tigers.

Is it too early to cheer? Nah. GO ROYALS!
