Looks like we've got some more fun headed our way in the HEART of Wisconsin. Our police department said it this way:
Up Next – Mother Nature’s Encore Presentation
I don't want an encore. I didn't even like the first act... or second... or third... or fourth. It's been an endless show with intermissions just to tease us into thinking spring.
The latest, for real, is this winter, yes winter, storm watch from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Issued by: Green Bay - WI, US, National Weather Service:
...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... * WHAT...HEAVY MIXED PRECIPITATION POSSIBLE. TOTAL SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 11 INCHES, WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP TO 13 INCHES, AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE. * WHERE...PORTIONS OF CENTRAL, NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN. * WHEN...FROM FRIDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...PLAN ON DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS. TREE BRANCHES COULD FALL. SIGNIFICANT REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY ARE POSSIBLE. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW, SLEET OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.
And another view...
So what this means is definitely no baseball on Friday or Saturday and well, gosh, probably not Monday either.
This means there may be a small crowd at the Rapids child abuse prevention 5K on Saturday morning. I'm the event photographer and am hoping a few brave folks will still participate. Right now, even with the forecast, it's still on. Hard to change it up when it's been planned so far in advance.
This also means that there'll be no break between winter storms and spring storms. Today we had our tornado drill at work to coincide with the statewide drill. Why does Mother Nature get away with being a... witch all year long? I'm guessing she's not married. No one puts up with that for THAT long.
Even saintly hubbies like mine have their breaking point.
I think I had mine at Act 2, Mother Nature. Wrap it up.
