Okaaaay, Wilbuuur!

When we've got Winter Storm Wilbur trudging through the area, I don't really think of Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. More like Mr. Ed saying, "Okayyyy, Wilbur!"

And I am saying, OK Wilbur, enough already!

First the "before" picture from yesterday...

Honestly, spring had sprung just in time for the end of Spring Break.

As predicted, our wake-up totals were only an inch or two. But when I looked at the radar and saw Wilbur was just going take his time traveling through ALL STINKIN' DAY, I opted to plug in from the home office.

Around lunch time I decided to commence with Round 1 of shoveling. Didn't look like much but it really was coming down an inch or so an hour. By the time I was done, the area where I started was already covered!

Not quite 5 inches at that point.

Later in afternoon, hubby commenced with Round 2 of shoveling. Yes, we have a snowblower but we both figured we get some exercise. (Stupid on my part because I got sick after my efforts.)

Thankfully, even though it was windy, it was not the blustery blizzard-type storms we experienced in January or February. So it was mild and almost pretty... but just too much.

When Jim was shoveling, we'd reached the half-foot mark.

 And it wasn't slowing down.

These are the 5:30 p.m. totals for central Wisconsin. We've had 7.5 inches and could get at least 2-4 more this evening. It just. Won't. Stop.

Not sure when we're going to try to snowblow, but it might have to wait until morning at this point. Then for sure April Fools Week will be over, right?

No. Even though today was supposed to be our baseball and softball season opener, it looks like the forecast of yes, more snow, on Thursday, will delay it again.

Okaaaay, Wilbuuuur... You can be on your way now!
