Sometimes it's hard to find the right words because, well, there are no words. Two months ago today, we unexpectedly lost a dear friend. Today would have been his 53rd birthday. We didn't really want to celebrate it so much as honor the day by gathering with his wife and kids and a group of close friends who, on average, still cry over our loss a few times a week.
As the saying above says, it's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember! And he was a kind, generous, highly entertaining someone to know. And love.
Lots of fun memories and stories shared. It only made sense we had a group photo raising a glass to the man of the hour and day. And hope those partying angels in heaven can keep up with him!
Ha. No. They can't. No one ever could.
