After such a busy and eventful week, we had to take today off just to get organized for vacation!
We are leaving within an hour or so for Milwaukee (first stop) and then onto Fort Lauderdale on an early morning flight!
Obviously, we haven't been home much to do any packing or other preparations for being gone a week, so today we worked like crazy to get it done. Now we are set and getting quite excited to "vacate"!
Our Watch Cat Sylvester will be watching over the estate along with daily visits from Jim's sister (who also will feed the watch cat). So we feel good about leaving ... and feel better about arriving in Florida!
We are going with our friends Mike and Christine and son Nate (12 years old like Carter). So we each have a friend with! Yay. We'll be staying in a time share right on the beachfront so I expect a little sun time, swim time, sand time, sight-seeing time and sittin' time. That's an important one. Gotta relax!
Christine will have her laptop with so I will blog occasionally (as long as it doesn't feel like work) about our life on the beach. Now I just have to re-check my checklists for the 10th time so we can get outta here!
