Wunderbar News!

Mr. College received some wunderbar news today. After a comprehensive application process, he was accepted into the College Consortium for International Studies Intensive Language Program at the International House – Collegium Palatinum!

If it sounds foreign, that's because it is. He'll be studying n Heidelberg, Germany, from January 6 (yes, a mere month away) to April 27.

Just a typical college campus!
He's excited and we're excited for him! This will be an amazing experience and an excellent way to finish up his German minor.

He's wanted to get back over there since his month-long visit in 2015 as part of the exchange program at Assumption High School. This time, I sure hope I can twist Mr. Austin's arm so we go, too. Well, for a nice visit at some point. Would love to see our German son Lukas, too.

But one step at a time.

There are no less than 100 things to do, I'm sure, in the next 4 weeks before he goes. First off,  lots of paperwork due ASAP. Plus, he has to somehow concentrate on finishing the semester on a strong note and getting through finals on this side of the ocean. He'll then only be home about 10 days around Christmas and New Year's. (Trying not to think about that part.)

Hectic, yes. But feeling blessed, yes yes.
