A Hot Start on a Cold Day

Today was all about focus. Focusing on catching football action with the camera while focusing on staying warm in the 40-some degree weather. Thankfully, homecoming calls for a day game!

If you can believe coming into today's game our Royals hadn't won a football game – home or anywhere – since fall of 2018. Even then, I'm not sure how many. Today was the first game of our COVID-delayed season and we were up against Rosholt, who I think managed to get one game other their belt.

When we were down 19-8 at halftime, I thought, here we go again. But we had a great second half with some good plays, good throws and catches, and some forced turnovers. Oh, and TD's. Those help.

In the end... We took a one-point lead with less than 4 minutes to go and managed to hold onto it. Extra sweet to win for homecoming, too!

The interception with a minute to go that clinched the game for us! Sweet! Also got lots of fun celebratory pictures!

So glad we were around for this game! Great to see a win and also helpful from my standpoint to shoot in the daylight. So I tried to get a picture of ever kid, but that doesn't always happen. Hopefully everyone will stay healthy so they can keep this hot start going!

Go Royals!
