Room with a View

Thought I'd share the view out our 8th-floor window at 5:45 p.m. Fort Lauderdale time!

After little sleep in Milwaukee last night, we arrived in Florida by 11:30 a.m. local time today. Sunny and breezy out here on the coast. Love it!

Our time share is a nice two-bedroom set-up that has a full kitchen and a terrace overlooking the beach! After eating a late lunch nearby at Da Big Kahuna (yummy coconut shrimp!), we all hit the beach.

The big surprise? The ocean was like a warm bath!! Every time I've swam in the ocean or gulf, it has been at "spring break" time, so the water is just trying to warm up after winter. This, however, was simply awesome! No need to get out of the water to warm up on the towel.

It was just pleasant to swim around. In no time, we'd been on the beach (well, in the ocean) for 90 minutes. And here we thought we were going to "ease into" our sun exposure. We did have high-powered sun screen on so we'll see how we feel (and look) tomorrow. Right now we're just relaxing and wondering if we are going to do anything tonight.

Because you know what? We don't have to! Love vacation!
