Lordy, Lordy, Look Who's...Young

As someone much closer to 50 than 40, I had to crack up at the old geezer-type gifts a friend of ours received tonight at his birthday party. Forty is not even close to being old. Trust me.

Still, it was funny. And it was great he was surprised.

Hubby and I traveled over to Neenah late this afternoon for a surprise birthday party for our former co-worker Angelo. We picked up Tom, another former coworker, in Waupaca along the way.

Since Angelo's birthday was actually March 7 and they did do something for him then, he was legitimately surprised to walk in and realize the party was for him! Chalk one up for his wife and his parents for collaborating to make that work.

What 40 looks like... or, a large campfire built for one. He got them all out with one blow, though.

And here he is with his two favorite Robyns – me, his former work wife, and the other Robyn, his real wife now! Naturally, he is blessed to have us both.

Was nice to visit with them and several former co-workers as well. Of course, it does make for quite a late drive home. Could fall asleep any minute now.

It's not like I'm still "just 40" and can handle it.
