We've Been Warned

Don't you love playing the game of "Weather Forecaster: Who to Believe?"

By the time I was out of church today – and it was bright and sunny, mind you – they'd already called off school tomorrow for the Wisconsin Rapids area. A whole host of others followed. Pretty much the whole state by now.

For my readers not familiar with the Wisconsin map, we're right in the middle. See the town Nekoosa on there? We're sitting on the "ko" area. So yes. Right on the mythical line between 8-14 inches and mere 6-10 inches.

Either way, it's considered a Winter Storm Warning. Capitalized for emphasis, of course. And it will bring the snow plus winds gusting to 30 mph. Oh, along with the sub-zero temperatures. Those will continue. Perfect shoveling weather, right?

So yeah, I'm pretty sure the chances of me taking a serious STAY-cation is about 99%. And that STAY-cation will definitely involve staying in the house. Except to help hubby shovel and blow snow.

If the forecasters are wrong, then I guess, heigh-ho, heigh-ho.

Who to believe? Who to believe?

I'm leaning towards adhering to the warnings about "travel will be difficult" and "near white-out conditions possible." Yup. That guy.

Be smart, people. And safe. We'll snuggle up and get through this together!
