Purple Rain

The bad news is that it rained – a lot – today so they had to close up Lunch By The River in downtown Rapids. We managed to get there and grab lunches before vendors got all their goods put away and their tents down before they blew away!

The good news is that even though I didn't see a rainbow this evening, I saw some pretty sights after the rain, as the sun was setting...

Some of those purple "balloon" looking flowers have opened up. Don't you love the Purple Rain?

Pretty yellows and oranges as the sun was going down over Blue Jay Drive.

Perfect ending to a productive night of working and organizing in my office. Still have a long way to go but there's always time to stop and smell the flowers.

Or at least photograph them!
