Once in a Blue Moon

The weather guys said there's going to be "red sunset" tonight thanks to haze from wildfires somewhere that's not here. So I had my eye on the sky and I see Mr. Moon is sneaking in already – during daylight hours.

Not a full moon or anything, just wanted to use my zoom once in awhile!

I did not carry the heavy lens and camera on my walk, so here are the other outdoor nature-in-the-ditch pictures I took today – with my phone...

This doesn't look like the usual Monarchs I see. Is it a different family or is this just a moth?

Yes, my two black thumbs reach up to the Knature Knowledge portion of my brain! Don't know birds, insects OR plants.

But talk to me about ice flavors...
