Tunes on the Terrace

Hubby and I enjoyed Tunes on the Terrace tonight. It sounds pretty hoity-toity but they let us show up in our very casual Friday clothes!

Our evening's entertainment was a duo called KatmanDeux -- with the Kat being Kathy, one of Jim's high school classmates. I've mentioned them before as we do try to get to see them any time they are performing relatively close by. She has an amazing voice and her partner Tim (the Man) plays so many instruments (besides singing), it's always a great show.

And it was on the "terrace." For real.

It was at Hotel Mead in town. I don't know if they have the Tunes every Friday night. We're not social enough to be in that particular loop. But it's a nice outdoor setup for a summer's evening.

We even danced!

Yes, it's completely appropriate that Mr. and Mrs. Austin would dance to Patsy Cline's Crazy. Totally us alright. Well, me anyway. But the pure quality of Kat's voice makes you forget that. You just sway to her melody and enjoy the moment.

And for the record, while the photo above shows her as a "blue hair," she's actually blonde. That's just a trick of the spotlight and its current color when I snapped the photo. Though she is hubby's age so it is possible...

I should probably delete that or I'll never get a dance again. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Ta ta for now! (If that is what the Terrace set says these days.)
