I might as well let the photo speak for itself. For the first time in years and years, the Assumption Boys Cross Country team took first place at a meet! Sweet!
What an awesome way to start the season tonight – edging out rivals Marathon and Stratford at the Pittsville Meet.
It was awesome to see both a full boys team and full girls team. That hasn't happened in awhile either.
Carter didn't have his best night but you gotta start somewhere, right? Just build from there and keep on improving during the season. And, for now, just enjoy the feel of that first place trophy and victory lap. I am still uploading dozens of photos so I will have to continue this at another time!
