Sweet Sixteen

We celebrated our anniversary sandwich today. As in our wedding anniversary is exactly sandwiched between our two birthdays. So yes, that does mean someone else is getting older, too!

We usually try to get away to do something special but the forecast prompted us to change our mind and postpone a golfing weekend away. Rain was supposed to come yesterday (didn't til night time) and today (was over by 2 p.m.). Could have gone, but made it work. Went down to Lake Arrowhead Golf Course for a 3:30 tee time.

Thanks to the rain, it was cooler (than 90 anyway) and it was quite breezy. For people who hit line-drive shots, no biggie. For the high-arching shots I see hubby hit, that makes an impact.

Still, it was very fun!

Had to take a picture of 16 since we're celebrating 16 years! Don't do the math. Yes, we did child first, house second, marriage third. All build to last!

Not cooperative photo subject. But he's so adorable, I'll let it pass!

I had a great drive and this darn pole stopped my forward progress. What are the chances a 300-yard drive would land exactly there? Oh, I mean maybe 150 yards. Just seeing if you were paying attention.

Jim just missed the water here. I just thought it was a pretty shot with the fountain in the background.

On the way home, we decided to stop for a quick bite to eat at Trail's End. Always had good food there. Tonight, there were some issues with the kitchen or wait staff or both. Took well over an hour to get our pizza. Good thing it was super tasty.

And good thing I was in great company. XOXO
