We Needed a Fifth Quarter

The Wisconsin Badgers Marching Band is famous for their "Fifth Quarter" entertainment following Badger games. Tonight it was our players who could have used a fifth quarter in the Big 10 Championship game.

It started out good. We were at our friends' Craig and Sara's house and I was hanging with my fellow ladies in red: Lori (from left), Sara and Michelle and their hubbies. There was much jumping around – as Badger fans do – during the first half.

Not sure what talks happened in the locker rooms at half time, but it was Ohio State who came out on fire the second half and beat the Badgers 34-21. We just needed a little more time.

Of course, a little more time would have meant more treats and refreshments all around at our viewing party. So maybe it's best we got out of there and home by 11:30 p.m.

And the Badgers still have a chance to play in some sort of bowl. Just not the shrimp dip or puppy chow bowls we used tonight. Though everybody was a fan!
