This is my Father's World :: Part 2

This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker's praise.

As promised, more photos from the Wild West. Tonight we focus on the actual FALLS in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Our hosts for our evening stay suggested we see them since they were "really running" this year due to all the rain. If you have been following the news this week, you may have seen the coverage of the flooding in Sioux Falls that is closing highways and damaging cars and home. So glad we escaped that and were there when we could just enjoy the view.

There are so many "levels" to the falls, you never know if you are at the top, middle or bottom. Very cool.

Here my sister Rachel hops across the rocks looking for a good place to take a photo.

Looking from the top on down. I guess more like the middle, looking further down.

Many warnings – especially to determined photographers!

Mama Duck telling her babies to swim hard to safety!

"American Farmer" sculpture
The only buffalo I ended up seeing on the trip!

View from up top: The tower was a bit unnerving but provided a view of the full falls, plus the beautiful St. Joseph's Cathedral I mentioned yesterday.

More to come tomorrow as we head further West...
