That Was Sweet

Our motto Saturday was "have cookies, will travel." Today it's "ate too much, will do nothing."

Fun day yesterday. Carter, Mamie and I loaded up our cookies, hit the road at 8:30 a.m. and headed north.

Had a fun day at my twin sister's exchanging cookies, eating, playing games, laughing, and more eating. My mom plus 6 of the 8 R's were there, plus 3 nieces and kiddos. So Mamie got to meet quite a few in the family.

She thought my 89-year-old mother was adorable. Of course, we all do, right?

Left Up North by around 5:30 p.m. so it was dark the whole drive back. Thankfully not deer though. We did have one detour. On purpose.

We drove through the Marshfield Rotary Club light display at Wildwood Zoo Park. Very pretty, as always!

Got back to town about the time the Cranberry Classic basketball tournament was wrapping up. So we stopped at Ida's Saloon and met Jim there when he was done "working." Long day and late night, so we all slept in today.

The kids hit the road back to Potosi around noon-ish. Jim went to visit his aunt. I did some laundry and may have sneaked in a Hallmark movie while he was gone.

Pretty sure neither one of us will make it past 9 p.m. tonight. That's what happens when it's a sweet weekend.  The "sugar crash" has to come sometime.

Hope your Thanksgiving weekend was just as sweet!
