Numbers Don't Lie

The bad news is that I had to go to work today. That's right. No new millionaires in our department.

The good news is that no one won the mammoth Powerball jackpot last night. That's right. Another chance for us to become millionaires!

The great news, though, has nothing to do with the lottery numbers. The best number today was 65.

That's right. We probably just had the last nice day of 2016. Or at least the warmest. What a gift, knowing that the forecast now calls for highs in the 30s and low 40s for the next 10 days. Ugh.

So I had to take advantage of it and get some steps in during walk breaks at work, all the time wishing I could be home with Mr. Deck Chair one last time before I have to let him go into hibernation.

Yup, numbers don't lie and neither do photos...

The bad news is that the white stuff really is coming. That's right. This official photo from my nephew Tim out in Wyoming proves it.

The good news, for Wisconsinites anyway, is that all the bad weather will stop at the border. That's right. This official forecast map proves it.

The great news, we hope, is that our lucky numbers are bound to show up in some shape or form one of these days.
