So Last Season

As our Skol Man on the front deck is fond of saying: Those snowflake kisses on the nose are so last season! I agree!

This is our last snow pile in the yard this morning on my way to work. Maybe it was taunting Mother Nature with a "ha-ha we're almost gone," because she is firing back.

Same scene 12 hours later on my way to choir practice. Grrr. Message received, Mother Nature.

Who knows what we'll wake up to. They have changed the forecast model a dozen times in the last two days.  Now it looks like we'll get moderate snow in Wisconsin Rapids – if 4-8 inches is moderate in mid-April – and the biggest ice accumulation of a quarter-inch. Possibly.

Our big concern on Blue Jay Drive is how wet and heavy the snow is already. Throw ice on there and we could have a repeat of the wicked February blizzard that downed trees and power lines. Fingers crossed that Mother Nature is back on her meds sooner rather than later.

I miss the sunshine and pretty flowers in Germany!

Think spring, my friends. Think hard.
